Well I cracked into Army of Two last night and here are my thoughts.

First off I have to say the graphics are better than the vids showed them to be.

The game play is kinda fun but not the blast I thought it would be.

The first annoying thing I noticed was the weapon selector (I hate it) you have to hold the left bumper (XBox 360) then scroll through the D-pad.
Very annoying in a firefight.
The graphics are kinda small so it’s hard to see which weapon you are picking. The pistol and grenades were easy enough to see but
You (a least I couldn’t) really tell the difference between a sniper rifle and M-16.

Second. The game is very, VERY liner.
Liner to the point that the devs didn’t even bother in some places to but up barbed wire (or whatever) the keep you out of an area, there was just invisible walls that kept you out. I hate that.
In one cave area there was a rounded passage way with a stalagmite in the middle that I couldn’t go behind if I needed it for cover.
I’m sorry that’s just lazy IMO.

Third is the Agro.
I’m not really sure how I feel about it.
I get the point that you can have your A.I. buddy AGRO up and you become invisible (for flanking and such) but invisible to the point you can walk right up to the bad guys and mêlée the s#!t out of them and they don’t notice you? Hmmm…

Fourth is the A.I.
I have to say your partner is much better than Dom in gears of War but DUDE! Stop stealing my kills!!
At one point in the game I was taking on the boss of that level and had my A.I. partner hanging back because he kept getting hit too much and I had to keep rescuing him.
Then the boss brings out this heavy armor guy that both players need to work together to kill because one of you need to shoot him in the back, so I send him around to draw fire and low and behold while running out he fires a single shot and kills the boss.
Now I pumped about forty thousand rounds into this guy and my buddy takes the final shot and steals my kill? Not cool.

Next is you buying your weapons.
Umm.. Why am I spending $900.00 on an AK47 and $15,000.00 on a rocket launcher when everyone I kill drops their weapon and I should be able to just pick that one up?
And for God’s sake quit bugging me about going to the in game store!
I just spent ALL my money before the mission started, why would you stop the action and ask me to go to the in game store again?
BTW I don’t want to spend all my hard earned money to “Bling” out my weapons? This isn’t a race car. Personally I could do without the weapon upgrades in the game.

And lastly there is a very annoying fade in the game.
When moving the camera angles around the game gets very light and dark. What’s up with that?

Now I know with all the negative things I said about the game it sounds like I hate it, I don’t.
I’m very interested in finishing the game and how it plays out.

Score wise I’d give Army of Two a 7.8 out of 10

I have played a little of the online and all of the singleplayer. I will say that the bread and butter is the single player, not the versus mode. Multiplayer didnt seem bad, but it didnt seem that interesting to me. Graphics were turned way down for versus mode.

As for singleplayer.... I loved it although it was way too short. 6 missions? After all the hype this game had with it, I would have expected longer gaming time than about 7 hours. That is one of my pet peeves about paying 60 dollars for a game though... I want some time out of it. I dont think the weapon selection wheel is difficult. You just need to remember that your primary is up, secondary to the left, and special to the right. Thats all... no need to look after that. I never really had a problem with my teammate stealing my kills either. Only time I came close to that was when I was trying to kill everyone with the riot shield. I will agree in that the game is somewhat on the linear side. As for the aggro... it is definately a unique gaming experience but I do see it to be silly if I can go invisible. It is a game though... they arent designing it for absolute realism, just absolute fun. I would give the game a 8.5 out of 10.

Single player is ok i thought. The multiplayer sucks. I will deffinately beat the rest of the single player campaign and trade in for RB6V2 next week. There was not enough time put into the development of this game if give it about a 6.5 out of 10 for the lack of fun in the MP mode as well as the story mode is way to short. My opinion: (not worth 60 bucks)
