I've been here 3 days and I gotta tell ya i'm in shock by how non-jerk everyone is. and how inviting almost. Its a VERY nice breathe of fresh air to me. Yeah if your posting one word posts fine. But joking around and not taking life so damn seriously to the point of snapping a stick in your ass is not a bad idea. Yes I will say that a forum full of word games and bs posting were you say "duh" or "yes" will make sworming through countless posts to get to real things a bit of a pain. so that I will agree with you on. I just don;t think you need to be serious 24-7.

I totally agree with you KOBALT. I hate going to some forums and all you see is 'bump' or 'tag' or some other one word meaningless crap. I haven't been a part of this forum for to long, but I like it here a lot. The people here seem to have good heads' on thier shoulders.

Absolutely! But people rather tend to post "one-word" posts or similar unnecessary posts rather than having humurous discussions. I think you/a forum should get the fun out of the latter, since this shows how good a community really is. Your comment made me think you gave up on all hope about having a spam-free yet fun forum ;)

I think this whole top ten posters thing is just gonna encourage spamming. There's a lot of users already just posting three word posts or somewhere barely over the minimum just to climb those lists, what would be better than top ten posters is a top ten threads list. sorted by number of replies or number of views.

But I do think that your system with achievements is a good thing since you'll be able to see who is a good poster and not. if you see a guy that has a gazillion posts but no achievement, it pretty much means its a spammer.

But i think the Top Ten Posters thing is a like butter on fat, there's already the option to view the list descending by total posts.

I'm mostly saying this because I would like to see more quality posts from some of the members here rather than the spamming thats going on, and i think they know who they are.

I liek the idea of a top ten threads list. Then atleast you can show who is contributing in another way. Like yeah someone could have 500 posts but they may not all be great psots some may be stupid. But not may people will post up stupid threads.

I was at a site once way back when the xbox launched that had a guy with 4000 posts. the next guy down has 1000 something. this other guy was 4000 posts of nasty spam.

Actually, yes I do. I wasn't always in the position that I am in now. I don't mean to come up with the poor guy gets rich thing or anything, but in some cases, it is indeed true. When i lived down South for many years, I grew up eating Spam once in a while. It does indeed suck.

Unless you are saying that I SPAM on this forum, which in that case, I would unleash a world of hurt and damnation on you that you would never recover from.

Yes, I do work. I just work very weird hours. I work from 10pm until 7am. I go to sleep around 3 or 4pm, then get up at 9pm and go to work.
