The trial is fun but they made it too hard.

I love it. I got up to the 8th level and died playing single player on Hard.
Game is going to rock when it comes to coop.

They actually made this game too long. It'll take 3-4 hours to beat. Starting in the space levels, things get really repetitive. I kept wishing for it to be over, but it just kept on going and going, to Zone 30. I missed a flag somewhere too, damn it. :(

I think the increased difficulty is awesome. It is a longer game and I am grateful for that, but I too wish they had thrown a water level in with boats cause they had one in the last game, and the last level did seem to drag on a bit. At the same time its makes it kinda epic. I love the roll while on foot, and I love that you can use all your guns on foot, and the freeze beam is hardcore.

IMO, the increased difficulty made the achievements a ***** to go after. They're not fun to get anymore, as they were in Assault Heroes 1. I would've preferred the achievements also being possible to get on the easiest setting, for those of us who would rather have fun than grind away.
(And, please, no "but it's called on achievement" for a reason stuff. I know what an achievement is, and there's no reason it can't be on the easy difficulty as well.)
The gameplay is somewhat better, but can get REALLY repetitive. I don't remember that happening in the first game. The game pauses a lot just to throw waves of enemies at you, and it's really annoying (not annoying hard, but just plain annoying). The new weapons are cool, as are the space missions, but those too seem to drag on.
Please, Sierra, with Assault Heroes 3 -- if there is one -- try to make it more fun.

Note being repetitive is the nature of this game.
I liked it except for the lack of depth perception on the spaceship tunnel levels, not a biggy but it was annoying when you would be flying along and then all of a sudden bounce across the screen due to some undodgeable debris.

They arent too bad...and if you are having troubles you could always coop with someone to get it.

Yeah, I plan on doing that later. I've also heard the Fearless achievement is glitched for some people on co-op (they've said you can get SP achievements in MP).
