I'm stuck at lesser snow goddess though. I just can't go fast enough on either type of slolam gate challenges.

@ mrs bomb - hold both triggers to tuck when travelling in a straight line and carve all of your corners. Gives you a heap more time.

I see the leaderboards on Live and I can't believe some of those scores. I think they are in the billions or something. That's just insane.

I guess i'm just a speed freak. Even in PGR3 I try to get through the place asap instead of doing tricks.

The scores in the billions are for total score overall. Not a single combo. Theres a glitch in them though, meaning that they freeze at about 2,100,000,000. It changes for each player. I got to about 2,080,000,000 before mine froze.

I can't seem to get above 50,000 or so. I try button mashing and it is not working for me. As you gain more awesomeness do tricks get easiet? Can you do better ones? What is the best way to get a lot of points and beat the challenges because I am having a heck of a time...

you have to use the style thingy(when youre in the air move the stick partially in one direction), you know youre doing it when you see little pink stars and its kind of in slow motion.

by the time i got all the achievement points on this game i could easily get a 2 million point score. you just have to get used to linking all your style combos with butter.

True. By the time I got Snow God, I could easily connect a trick down the entire mountain if I had wanted to. I almost never fell doing anything. You just have to learn how to connect the tricks and when to do rails and when to jump. Awesomeness is very helpful too. I think my high score was like 4million without really trying to get it (just getting to a point where spectators would watch me).

I am having a hard time getting gold medals on a lot of the rail tasks. Does anyone have any pointers for getting a lot of points on short rails? Thanks.

I got through the whole game with just one slalom challenge to do on gold that was impossible! I then found out that you can crouch by holding both triggers, derrrrr :oops:

Can't believe I beat the rest of the slaloms without the extra speed tho. It makes so much difference.

I struggled to break 100,000 for a while, then on the 3rd or 4th mountain, starting from the top managed 674,000!!
It does become quite addictive trying to beat your previous high scores

i didnt even have an xbox yet, when playing at my friends house, i hit over 7mil, i decided to get my xbox then xD, i still dont have amped 3 though :(
