After I got my copy I was so thrilled, but after starting the game I was so disappointed! The controls are so ****ed up and the game contains so many bugs it just kills the atmosphere...
It's trial and error in alomst every segment of the episodes and I'm in episode 7 (of 8) right now. Okay, you can skip individual scenes and whole episodes, but you'll miss some Achievements (360) then.
The episodic system is a nice idea (besides the fact, it's necessary because of all the bugs...) and keeps you always informed what happened so far.
Graphics are mostly good, but there are some major glitches here and there. (A whole street disappeared and I fell into a big black hole some times...). The face animation aren't that good and the characters look like they're out of wax sometimes.
The music and sound-effects are impressive in the beginning. I liked the choirs in the trailers, but when you play one passage over and over again they become pretty annoying...
The (active) combat-system is quite interesting because of the (few) different combinations, the plurality of melee weapons and the use of fire. But the controls and item management is just bad. Besiddes, why are there only pistols as firearms? (Okay, a developer decision...)
The main-protagonist isn't very charming in my opinion. I'm swearing as much as him but he just seems to try being a bad ass all the time. It's just overacted some times and kills the atmosphere too. I even wonder why he doesn't look like on the cover.
The Story evolves dragging because of the bad controls and glitches. Furthermore the story is nothing special by now. The main-protagonist got amnesia? Haven't we seen that before?
My conclusion so far: Another hype game wich suffers of it's bad programming in some points and sucked hairy ass. I'll finish it to get the Achievements and gonn sell it.
My personal rating so far: 5/10 when not even worse...
Play the demo or rent it before buying! I'd have done the same.
