Hey guys. I went yesterday to rent Alone In The Dark at my local BlockBuster. I called on tuesday and they said "We'll be getting a few on friday" I went right up to the front desk and asked for it. The manager replied "Yeah were not getting any of that game in but, we have Battlefield" I said in a sad voice "Sure I'll take that then" and walked out the door with Battlefield: Bad Company. I'm a huge survivor horror fan and I was really looking forward to this game despite the bad reviews. My question is. Are anyone else's BlockBusters or Rental stores not getting Alone In The Dark. I live in Revere,Massachusetts btw.

well blockbuster in my neighborhood is old news but at my local "video avenue" they got 1 copy when they usually get at least 3 copys but if they rent well they will get more copies. it should be the same for you so if other video stores out there rent it well they will eventually get it if not just wait for a price drop the game is very likely to drop price very soon since it offers only a single player experience.

I take it the reason why their not carrying it is because of bad reviews its been getting. Or the lady could have made a mistake. I'm gonna call again in a few days if not I'll buy it used.

All of my local BB's told me the same thing, so I was forced into getting GameFly. I've always hated BB and thought they were simply a greedy and rude store. I never gave them my money unless I had absolutely no other option.

What I am trying to say is: BB sucks.

I just ended up buying it. I traded some games in and those paid for most of it. I got a free Alone In The Dark T-shirt and the game came with a soundtrack CD. Thats not bad at all for 30 bucks. Some games give you nothing extra at all. Not complaining or anything but its always nice to get something cool.

I actually read it is that the company that makes the game doesn't let the game be rented in the united states for some reason. That would explain why a few places have the game for rent in the united states. I hope it is just a delayed release. A quick google search shows that tons of people are having trouble finding it to rent.

I rented it from Gamefly.I definitely don't recommend buying it, as there is little replay value.Gamefly offers free trials if you really want to play a mediocre game that bad.

I went to several local BlockBuster's and Hollywood Videos and they all said they wouldn't be getting any copies. I ended up just signing up for GameFly. It sucks, but I highly doubt you'll be able to rent this title conventionally. If you want to play this game bad enough, buy it or sign up for GameFly.

Yeah I ended up buying it. 60 bucks for the game with mini soundtrack and a t shirt. Good deal. Decent game.
