Do Humanz respawn?

In the park? I'm looking ahead to the roots (next chapter is 8) and I'm just wondering if I kill the humanz, then leave that area, if I come back later for some reason if they'll still be there? Of course I'll burn the bodies.

I went back to a few places and the humanz had respawned as well as the ratz nests,but other areas remained vacant.Seems like a random occurance to me.
