My review of Alone In The Dark

This is my personal opinion and review of Alone In The Dark.

I want to start off by saying I LOVE horror games. My favorite series is Resident Evil, and my favorite series on the 360 is FEAR. I expected A.I.T.D. to be much like Resident Evil, and in some ways, it lived up to that. 3rd person view, item combination, limited item storage, dependency on the enviorment, etc. That, the graphics, and the scare moments are all this game has. The control system is absolutely horrible, and it will take you well into the 3rd and 4th levels to get used to it. The camera angles usually work against you, but this is countered by entering 1st Person mode. And the main problem I have with this game: glitches. I had to replay Episode 2: 59th Street a great many times due to glitches. Car getting stuck on nothing, car just stopping, and my personal fave: Car crashing out the shopping mall window to find nothing below it. Those quirks may seem small and painless, but add them all together and you have one horribly frustrating and just not enjoyable game. 3/10

Everyone is split 50/50 on liking this game or not, once you accept that you cant control the camera its not that bad, easy achievements, ohh and its made by atari so a 3/10 is pretty good lol

I was equally excited for this game as I LOVE horror suspense movies and games. I love being scared out of pants... this had no scary moments. Condemned was more frightening... and that was barely a scare. This can't compare to FEAR... dont even bring that great game into comparison with this...

Yeah, this was written before I completed the game. The ending was mad corny, I don't know what the **** happened.

I loved it.... get over the bugs and camera issues and there's a lot of fun to be had.
Great puzzles.
I was quite sad when it ended.
Too bad it got mixed reviews.

It should have had been delayed to finish it off properly and get rid of the glitches.
