Episode 5, Sequence 2 stuck

I'm stuck where the Ratz nest is behind the gate with the pool of blood in front of it. Can anyone help?

There's two ways you can advance past this area:

1.) Light the pool of blood on fire.

2.) Create a sticky molotov (explosive bottle + wick + tape), light it, then throw it on the rat. When it runs back to the nest it'll blow up.

Now I'm stuck on 5-4, when you rappel down the elevator shaft. Once you're at the end of the rope, what're you supposed to do?

Shoot the lock on the gate, then jump through, press RB to shoot while hanging

You can also create a plastic sticky,stab it with the knife in the kitchen,stick it on the ratz and light the trail of fluid.
