Co-op achievement questions

i was playing co-op with my brother
he got the "Meet with annihilation"
but i didn't .... why??
does that mean only the 1P gets achievements??
cuz we Killed all foot soldiers and enemy trucks on a Meet With Enemy sequence.
but only he got the achievement.....

the main account gets the achievement, this means the account in witch the game is being saved,

in coop_ if we get yashichis does it count as if we both got it, or just for the main account ?

Only the main account gets credit. 2P can pick stuff up, but it still goes towards 1P's Achievements and save file.
