Starting New Games

So I did everything I can do on one difficulty. What would happen to that game if I wanted to play on Hard? There are times when my bro wants to play, and knocking it up to hard wouldn't fit his gaming style. Backing up my save game is just a hassle.

Have any of you guys started any new games yet?

It will erase your old game's progress, though Database Entries and Challenge Rooms remain unlocked. You can start a Co-Op game, which uses a separate save file from the single-player game.
