Is it just me or does this game SUCK? There's never been a game where I just say f this on the FIRST level and quit playing, but this game (despite its nice graphics) is one of the most boring and redundant pieces of crap I've ever played.

it was clearly one of the lesser games of the series. i gotta say that long away best game of the series and one of the most underatted games ever is Ace Combat 5. the story, graphics and gameplay are great and still hold up as a benchmark for last generation games. i have only played 4 5 6 and zero but the games (besides 5) all played the same. 18 missions, first level is a trainin mission destroyin bombers on the way to destroy your home base. and there was always this crazy meteor destroyin device converted to a anti-air weapon. you wind up destroyin it around mission 12, and then another secret weapon that you find out that it has to be destroyed by flyin into a tunnel a couple times and shoot an unsurde target. i love this series, but this game wasnt up to game 5 or even game zero.

Yep I gotta agree with this 100% AC5 was an awesome game, definitely one of the best, if not THE best in the series.

I did enjoy 6 but I think its time we moved on from the default format of the game as you described it above, the standard training, then the bomber invasion force, the weird sci-fi like flying battle stations or super weapons and always a tunnel level at the end. I think with 6 we are just realising or maybe seeing yet again what we have already realised with previous titles, that they need to change format. Yes I enjoyed the game, it looks beautiful, as an aviation enthusiast it is a sure fire hit for me anyway. I would just like to see some originality in the mission structure and maybe keep it more "real world" without becoming a pure simulator and losing the fun gameplay appeal.

I have to say the other failings for me were the ridiculous achievements, and very poor online mode. I did play the entire game using only guns for one of the medals, which was different lol, and got a lot of other medals, but lost all interest before I went all the way with the achievements. I found the online game awful, just thrown in as an after-thought, and found it difficult to get a game really after a very short period of time and I bought this on the day of realease.

So yeah I agree with what you have said Duke completely. I have to say though I dont think it is such a terrible game, just a little disappointing in certain areas.
