Peter Forsberg played for the Swedish team today, for the first time since the last olympic final. He´s looking good, if you think about that he only have played five games before this match in two years. He says that he want to play in NHL as soon as possible, and the media in Sweden belives that he want to play for Colorado again. All I can hope is that he should be fit for fight until the olympic games.

I'm really mixed on all this. Forsberg's such a great talent, and when his heart is in it he's damn near unstoppable. The problem is that his determination seems to waver so much. One year he misses most of the season, comes back, and carries the Avs to a Cup. Another year he misses most of the season, comes back, and is completely invisible for the entire rest of that season.

Hey wait a sec, yeah the Avs should sign him, they need soemthing to cause that team to stop dominating the western conference.

Wow, just disgusting. We play so well against the Sharks and then come back with absolutely no urgency or go against the Leafs and get shelled?

Something needs to happen. Lebda needs to go, for 1...that would be a good start. He's just not worth it anymore. He's never gonna get any better, and while his speed WAS an asset, with guys like Abby and Helmer, we don't need him playing half-assed weak defense.

I want him gone.

Now.

Just gonna go ahead and edit this today 11/12 (Doc Brown Day!)

So...um....Hi Pedle!!

How 'bout that game, eh?

How odd is it to say *that*?

Now, i'm not saying Howard is going to be the saviour, but I am hopeful that he's going to become a decent quality goalie. It seems to me that the more he plays, the more comfortable he becomes at the NHL level (stands to reason) and thusly, is able to make adjustments.

The entire team is slowly coming together.

I do find it hilarious that all the critics were saying that Detroit would have scoring issues. Seems to me that the kids who've spent their last few years in GR, plus some of the other random pickups, are working out damn well.

I'll tell you who has impressed me the most so far this season, Patrick Eaves. That kid has fit exceptionally well on the 4th line, has helped them create some chances and I see him playing a very similar style to Dallas Drake (sans the amount of hitting, but he does hit). The kid is putting it all out on the line, trying to stay in the NHL and not get sent down. Our 4th line has been wreaking *havoc* on everybody, which is stellar.

Peter Forsberg and Marcus Naslund is joining Modo this week. Modo have a economic crisis for now, and because of that they are going to play without any pay. Thats really shows a really big love to the club they once started their carriers in.

The town only have around 50,000 inhabitants, but we have many great NHL-players, Marcus Naslund, Peter Forsberg, Niclas Sundstrom, Samuel palson, Victor Hedman, Tobias Enstrom and a many more.

Foppa had played two games now, one today were he scored two goals and made one assist. Last game he gets three assist. And he has played increadible good, with thought of that he only has played a handfull matches in three years.

Naslund isn´t going to play in a couple of weeks, but when he do it should be very interesting. The future for my hockey team is brighter than it has been in a long time. At the moment we are last in the Swedish league, butnow we´re in an winning streak.

Go Modo go!

Somehow I missed this until now, but Shanny officially announced his retirement.

http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/stor...n.html?ref=rss

Not a surprise given his age, but damn, one of the better power forwards I've ever seen play the game. My most memorable memory of Shanny was in Nagano after Canada got knocked out of gold medal contention by Hasek in the Czechs. Shanny was the final shooter for Canada in the shootout, failed to score, and was interviewed after the game, and I don't think I've ever seen a hockey player so heartbroken. Huge heart.

Are you kidding? That's your best memory of Shanny?

Mine?

Him hauling ass down the ice and then launching himself at Patrick "I can beat women, but not Red Wing goalies" Roy. I loved Shanny everywhere he went (especially as a Wing and a Whaler) and I was so disappointed when he left, but I understood why. The guy was the epitome of power forward with great hockey sense and a wicked shot. It's a shame he's gone but i'm not surprised.
