Nice...I mean, I'm guessing that this is all because of me and my garbage Tony Hawk achievement guide, but I think it's still a cool idea. I thought I was seeing things when I saw a new board. I have never noticed anything less than quality in these achievement lists, but I'm guessing that you and Monster 1 have to put them together yourselves.
So what will this board be about, Monster 2? I mean, the two threads are pretty interesting, but I saw only you and Monster 1 can make threads.

Basically this will be a spot where everyone can comment on the articles we put up on the site. If you weren't aware of them, you can view them at the top of the Features page. This will be more of Monster 1 of 2's baby than mine, since he will be writing more articles than me. We weren't going to dedicate an entire board for them, but it turns out we have a lot to say about things so we figured why not get everyone in on this action?
It is also quite possible we will let a select few write articles (not just us Monsters). We will have pretty strict requirements though. We will demand that the writer has excellent grammer and above-average writing skills. We're not going to put up junk. We aren't going to be very strict regarding topics though, as you can tell from our new feature, "Jerkass of the Week." As long as the articles are entertaining, we probably won't have a problem with putting them up.

This is pretty nice. I see a lot of posts in the Submit Information board that just list the achievements and point values, and this should cut down on some of that.

![]() I figured that a list had to be complete to be accepted anyway. Should be a neat board though. ![]()

"A $1500 dollar piece of software for just $5 bucks? Sold. Come 3 weeks later, we sit here and wonder why it is all in Russian. Sometimes a good deal is too good to be true."
Hah, I love this part at the end.

I think this rule should have been in place for a while now. For one it will increase the traffic and membership into the forums to get help.

So does this mean that guides are going to start to have more substance? I mean, I appreciate all the guides and what not, but there are some that are inaccurate for games that have been out since almost release date.
For example, the Hardwood Hearts guide has false information about breaking hearts, and there are a few others that basically just repeat the achievement description. I think you guys need to implement something that allows the guides to be replaced with more improved guides or something along those lines. I guess with volunteer submissions it's difficult to do that, but it might be something to consider, especially when there is misrepresented information about a particular achievement. ![]() |
