Default Flawless Groove & Flawless Fretwork Achievement Tips!

I got these two quite easily so here's some tips for both:

Flawless Groove (Scored 100% notes hit as bassist, up-strums only, on Expert)
Load up OK Go's "Here It Goes Again" on Expert and strum upwards only. I found the bass line for this song to be quite easy, although there may be easier ones out there. The key to this achievement is to only strum upwards (like a true bass player), which I find to be very easy because that's the way I naturally strum when I play Rock Band and Guitar Hero. One caveat, however, make sure you do not strum down, even during the end solo! The song has roughly 492 notes so it's quite easy, but I screwed up the first time by strumming up and down during the end solo.

Flawless Fretwork (Scored 100% notes hit as a guitarist on Expert)
Load up Mountain's "Mississippi Queen" on Expert and hit all of the notes! I realize that was quite an obvious suggestion but it's an easy song and there's only a few hammer ons and pull-offs to watch out for.

These aren't terribly hard achievements to get but I figured that I might as well suggest an easy way to get both of them.

Rock on!

can you do a career as a bassist, or do you just do it in quick play?

there is no bass career, so yes, it would have to be in quick play or band world tour

I got BOTH achievements using Garbage - I Think I'm Paranoid. I found it to be rather easy, and I got the achievement on my first attempt for both achievements. The guitar one I did in career, but for the bass, yes you will need to exit to quick play so you can select bass to play.

I agree. I got both of those achievements on "I Think I'm Paranoid". Very easy indeed.

Just my opinion....but, I found Wanted Dead or Alive for the Flawless Groove to be extremely easy. For one, you don't even start playing until about 1:15 into the song. Very basic except for a little solo....if you can even call it that.

Thanks to everybody who posted on here, especially the ones who said to go for 'Maps'. I had tried the stickied guide way, but kept on slipping right near the end because of having to shift my fingers fast for the couple of runs there.

My advise to anyone else that looks here is do Maps; All you have to be able to do is jump from green to orange a few times, otherwise the whole song is like normal play. Chances are, you'll get this achievement first time.
