Welcome to the Advanced Achievement Guide for Sonic The Hedgehog. Make sure and view the entire achievement list before you read on further so have a better understanding of what you are trying to accomplish. If you finish this guide and find that you still need additional help with these achievements, hop on over to the forums and ask away.This guide spans 2 main sections and contains 11 YouTube videos.

1. Centurion (10 pts)
Get 100 or more rings.
Watch this youtube video which is a 50 second clip of getting 100 rings on the first level. Be sure not to get hit, as there are only ~150 rings on every level:

2. Clear Green (5 pts)
Clear the Green Hill Zone.
Look at the “Fast Win” achievement to see a video guide on how to beat this zone in record times. All this achievement requires is for you to beat the first 3 levels. On the final boss try staying in the bottom left and hitting him when the ball is on the right.
3. Fast Green (10 pts)
Beat Green Hill Zone Act 1 in under 35 seconds.
It’s all about timing, maybe a bit of luck. Here is a video on a 33 second run:

4. Fast Marble (15 pts)
Beat Marble Zone Act 1 in under 80 seconds.
It’s all about timing, maybe a bit of luck. Here is a video on a 70 second run:

5. Star Light Zone (5 pts)
Get to the Star Light Zone.

6. Spring Yard Zone (7 pts)
Get to the Spring Yard Zone.

7. Labyrinth Zone (8 pts)
Get to the Labyrinth Zone.

8. Chaos Emerald (10 pts)
Get one Chaos Emerald.
See “Chaos Master” for a video guide on all the emeralds, you only need one for this achievement.
9. Chaos Master (35 pts)
Get all the Chaos Emeralds.
You must have 50 rings when you finish a level for the huge ring to be present. Grabbing it after finishing the level will put you into a bonus stage, which contains a single chaos emerald. You have a maximum of twelve tries to get the 6 emeralds, since you can only enter a bonus stage in act 1 or act 2 of a zone (6 zones in all). The order in which you get the emeralds is set, in that you have to get the first emerald before the game will allow you to do the second bonus stage (trying for the second emerald). To unlock this achievement you need to get all 6 emeralds. Here are video guides for each:

10. Win (25 pts)
Beat the game.
Finish all acts/zones, this can be achieved with the “Fast Win” Achievement.
11. Fast Win (30 pts)
Beat the game in under 40 minutes.

12. Perfect Win (40 pts)
Beat the game without dying.
See the "Fast Win" youtube videos for a speed run, and also remember to use the bubble and the invincibility powerups. Save after every level, if you die you may quit and reload and you will still get the achievement.
