If you are going through the game the first time please read Disciple of the Creed, Hungerer of Knowledge, and Conversationalist achievements first. If you miss something you will have to play the game over again! It is quite possible to get all 1000 points in the first time playing this game. I have written this guide with the least amount of spoilers possible. 1. The Eagle and The Apple - 1191 (100 points) -Complete Assassin's Creed. Defeating the game will earn you this achievement. This game is very easy to beat and offers no real issues. The saves and checkpoints are well laid out and even if you die you don't have to do a lot of back tracking. Even the final few targets offer no real challenge as long as you master counter kills and combo kills. The best hint in saving is that every time you collect a flag, defeat a Templar, reach a high point, or go through a check point your game will be saved. So before attempting anything hard, including fighting a templar, try to get a flag or view point before doing it. Please note everytime you go up against a target you get a check point so that way if you die you just restart the fight. Also if you fail a side mission just return to the starting point and it will start over again. For tips on fighting see [FIGHTING TIPS] at the end of this guide.. The game can be defeated fairly quickly however if you follow this guide you can easily get all 1000 points the first time around. I have beat this game 3 times now. It took me the first two times to get all 1000 gamer points (I must of missed a conversation with Lucy). The third time I wanted to write this guide better. I would suggest collecting flags and killing Templars by area to save time and efforts, unless you don't mind playing the game twice or replaying a bunch of areas. What I mean by collecting flags or killing Templars in one area is this... For example after you protected Masyaf from the Templar invasion you can start by areas. You start in Masyaf so just collect all 20 flag and there are no Templars. Follow the guide (posted below) and collected each area as you run into it. By the time you beat the game you should have all 1000 points. The main point of the game is to kill 9 targets. Once you get your next target from your leader just go (collecting flags and killing Templars on the way) to that city. Do the required tasks so you can enter the assassins guild and kill your target. Inorder to get an achievement you must do all side missions [see "Disciple of the Creed" below]. Once you kill your target run like like a nun in a bar to your assassins guild. You find a hiding spot (you can't be flashing yellow or red and return to the assassins guild. That's how you progress through the game. 2. Personal Vendetta (40 points) -Kill every Templar. Every Templar, all 60 of them, must be killed. All most all Templars can be assassinated with just a little time, effort, and sneaking. Most of the time if you just come near them in a different direction or drop off a building you can assassinate them. However, some Templars will always see you. The best thing to do then it fight them with counter attacks (hit X right before they attack you) or with combo attacks (hit X right when they guard your attack). Most counters or combo attacks will just knock the Templar down and not kill him. Once the Templar is downed just hit him with normal attacks until he dies (if you do this quick enough he will die before he gets back up). If you can not fight fare and win then fight "sneaky". The best method is get the Templar's attention and then run up a ladder or jump on a roof top. Once on the roof just take out your sword and turn around facing the ladder. The Templar will run up after you and once he gets close to the top hit the X button for a normal attack. What will happen is the Templar will get damaged and he will fall off the ladder. He will climb back up but all you have to do is hit him again. Do this 4-7 times and he will die. 3. Keeper of the Lions Passant (25 points) -Find All of Richard's Flags in the Kingdom. Absolute Symbiosis (45 points) -Have a complete Synchronization bar. You will get this as you progress through the game. To get this you must have a full health bar. There are three ways your Synchronization bar (health bar) increases and they are: - Accomplishing Save the Citizen free missions. - Accomplishing Side Missions. - Lilling your main targets. You will get this by just playing the game like normal and getting all your missions. By the end of Memory Block 4 or the begining of Memory Block 5 I had a full health bar. 8. Fearless (25 points) -Complete all Reach High Points. See [High Points and Free Missions] at the bottom. You get this after climbing up ALL the high/view points (eagle icon on your in-game map) in each city and in the Kingdom. 9. Hungerer of Knowledge (20 points) -See 85% of all the memory glitches. Just hit any button as soon as you see a glitch (blue Animus symbols/pattern) during the cut scenes. You know you correctly got got a memory glitch when your camera angle changes to a close-up. If you get less then 85% you will need to play the game over. I got this the first time through and missed a bunch of them. Just make sure you attempt to hit any button as soon as you see a glitch during cut scenes. Most glitches happen before you attack your target and after you kill your target. 10. Defender of the People: Acre (20 points) -Complete every free mission in Acre. See High Points and Free Missions at the bottom. 11. Defender of the People:Jerusalem (20 points) -Complete every free mission in Jerusalem. See High Points and Free Missions at the bottom. 12. Defender of the People: Damascus (20 points) -Complete every free mission in Damascus. See High Points and Free Missions at the bottom. 13. Conversationalist (20 points) -Go through every dialog with Lucy. This is very important to get the first time around. If you do not talk to her very time you can and completely finish every conversation you will have to do a re-play. Lucy is the modern day scientist that monitors the Animus while you are in it. My best hint to you is wait for her very time your in the modern day, she should show up in every time your in modern day. Wait for the "Press any button to interact" and then keep on taking to her until she gives you the old "I am busy right now" or "I have work" verbiage. 14. Disciple of the Creed (30 points) -Assassinate all your targets with a full DNA bar. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! Do not kill ANY of your 9 main targets before you "clear" that city's area. In order to get this you must ensure each area is "cleared" before you move on in the game. By cleared I mean make sure you have no more eagle icons on your map and ensure all Rescue the Citizen, Pick Pocketing, Eavesdropping, Interrogations, and Informants are completed before moving on to kill your target. 15. Eagle's Will (20 points) -Defeat 100 opponents without dying. This is a fairly easy achievement once you master the art of fighting in this game. All you have to do is kill 100 opponents before you die. You can save, turn off the console, load any areas, do anything as long as you do not die. You just need to kill 100 in a row (does not need to be a continuous fight). You should get this playing the game normally. If you are having trouble see [FIGHTING TIPS] below... 16. Eagle's Flight (20 points) -Last 10 minutes in open conflict. This is the only achievement that you may not get during normal game play. I have always had to get this one on purpose. The best way to do this is while in the Kingdom just pick a fight with two or three guards and GUARD. This will seem like it lasts forever but just keep guarding and making large circles. After 10 minutes you will unlock this one. Very Easy. 17. Eagle's Prey (20 points) -Assassinate 100 guards. You will get this playing the game normally if your semi- aggressive. If not just kill 100 city guards. I recommend just assassinating guards with your hidden blade from behind while walking out through the game. They must be inside a city area to count. Yes, Templars inside the city count as well. 18. Blade in the Crowd (30 points) -Kill one of your main targets like a true assassin. To get this you must assassinate one of you main targets (with your hidden blade while walking). There are two easy targets to get this achievement on and they (in order): - The easiest target is your first target, Tamir in Damascus, he walks right past you if you position yourself south of the fountain. If he sees you before you stick him with your hidden blade go ahead and die. Your saved right before the fight. - Second target is Garnier de Naplouse in Acre. Just hide in the group of Scholars and watch out for drunks when you unhide from the group of Scholars to stab this guy in the back. 19. Eagle's Challenge (20 points) -Defeat 25 guards in a single fight. You should get this one during normal play however see [FIGHTING TIPS] below if you are having trouble... 20. Eagle's Swiftness (20 points) -Perform 100 Counter Kill in Fights. You should get this one during normal play however see [FIGHTING TIPS] below if you are having trouble... 21. Eagle's Dive (20 points) -Perform 50 Combo Kills in Fights. You should get this one during normal play however see [FIGHTING TIPS] below if you are having trouble... 22. Eagle's Talon (15 points) -Perform 50 stealth assassinations. You should get this one during normal play however see [FIGHTING TIPS] below if you are having trouble... Make sure the kill is with your hidden blade and your not running. 23. Eagle's Dance (10 points) -Perform 50 leap of faith. All I can say to this one is once you climb up the eagle high/view points is do a leap of faith (jump off the point into the hay). There are well over 50 eagle high points (80-some to be exact) so even if you miss some you still will be in good shape. If you are having problems just jump off the same point over and over again. The best one is in the city of Acre in the poor district. Go to the "hospital" where you kill Garnier de Naplouse, Hospitlier Leader. On top of the "hospital" there is a high point that is very short in comparison to the rest of them in the game where you can climb very fast. 24. The hands of a Thief (15 points) -Pickpocket 200 throwing knives. Every time you see a thug (big tough looking guys with a lot of pockets and all the time putting their fists in the palm of their hands, they will see by their white glow and are targetable) pick pocket him (to do so just target him and hold the B button down, DO NOT try and pick pocket him while he is standing still). The best way to do this is just use up all your throwing daggers on guards and pick pocket the thugs for more. This will help out with your Eagle's Eye achievement. The best place to pick pocket the thugs are in the towns in the middle districts. 25. March of the Pious (5 points) -Use Scholar blending 20 times. This is the easiest. Just get into a group of Scholars and hit the hide and unhide button (A button) 20 times. Scholars appear sometimes after you do a Rescue the Citizen Free mission. 26. Eagle's Eye (15 points) -Kill 75 guards by throwing knives. My theory behind this.... Use them if you got them. Kill as many guards with these as possible and then when your out pick pocket some more. This helps out with the "The hands of a Thief" achievement. The best way to kill guards is the archers on the top of the roofs. Yes, Templars do count as well but are hard to kill with throwing knives. 27. Enemy of the Poor (5 points) -Grab and Throw 25 Harassers. If you see a beggar or drunk just throw them with the RT+B button. You should not get in trouble if you toss a beggar or drunk (even if there is a guard right there watching you). Just don't kill them (by throwing them into a stand or small vine garden. You can't miss beggar since they run right in front of you and you can't miss a drunk because they push you. Acre in the poor district is a good area to find these if your having trouble getting this achievement. You MUST throw 25 DIFFERENT harassers (not the same over and over again). 28. Gifted Escapist (5 points) -Jump through 20 merchant stands. You can jump through the same one 20 times. Just find a stand with no guards around and jump through it 20 times. They are found all over in the cities. 29. Keeper of the Black Cross (10 points) -Find All Teutonic Flags in Acre. Visions of the Future (50 points) -A strange vision has appeared to you. What could it mean? This is super easy. All you do is at the end of the game (while your in the modern time) go into your bed room and use the eagle vision (Y button). After the credits you will unlock this one. I will not spoil it for you but you get an achievement! ENJOY! 33. The Blood of a Corrupt Merchant (25 points) -You've slain Tamir, Black Market Merchant in Damascus. This is your first target. The easiest way to kill him is via an assassination. Please see "Blade in the Crowd" achievement. 34. The Blood of a Slave Trader (25 points) -You've slain Talal, Slave Trader of Jerusalem. Kill Talal in Jerusalem, MAKE SURE YOU DO ALL YOUR FREE MISSIONS! See Disciple of the Creed achievement. 35. The Blood Of A Doctor (25 points) -You've slain Garnier de Naplouse, Hospitlier Leader in Acre. Kill Garnier de Naplouse in Acre, MAKE SURE YOU DO ALL YOUR FREE MISSIONS! Easy is the only word for this one. Start a new game and finish the simple Animus tutorial. It's impossible to miss and must be completed to start the game. 43. Hero of Masyaf (20 points) -You've protected Masyaf from the Templar invasion. You get this achievement after you finish your first mission. Once the mission starts just into the town of Masyaf and defeat the guards. This first mission is simple and is more like an in-game fighting tutorial. 44. The Punishment for Treason (20 points) -You have found the traitor and have brought him before Al Mualim. You get this achievement after you finish your first mission. Once the mission starts just into the town of Masyaf and do each task (eavesdrop, pick pocket, and interrogate. This first mission is simple and is more like an in-game informational tutorial for eavesdropping, pick pocketing, and interrogations. [HIGH POINTS and FREE MISSIONS] All eagle high points and free missions are located on you in-game map. My suggestion to you is ensure each area is "cleared" before you move on in the game. By cleared I mean make sure you have no more eagle icons on your map and ensure all Rescue the Citizen, Pick Pocketing, Eavesdropping, Interrogations, and Informants are completed before moving on. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE Disciple of the Creed ACHIEVEMENT! In the Kingdom all you have to worry about is the eagle icons for the high points. In the city you must get the high points to see the mission icons but it's not required to do the missions (just makes it easier finding them). [FIGHTING TIPS] The art of this game is being stealthy and if you do enter into a fight (which you will) mastering the counter kills and combo kills make you nearly untouchable. Counting and combo a lot not only get you achievements but make fighting so much easier. To counter all you need to do is time your opponents attack and hit the X button while guarding. If you hit it too soon or not soon enough you will fail. The combo kill is much harder but once you get it you will be unstoppable. To combo kill hit the X button to attack and once your sword hits your opponent's sword hit the X button again. You can practice all you want in Masyaf. Another combat tip is to switch between enemies (don't focus all your time on one person). Not only will this confuse the enemies a bit but it will make them guard more so they don't hit you as much. Also this helps you not to get hit in the back a lot. The last tip about combat in this game is to GUARD A LOT and counter on those who can break your guarding! You heal in combat. If you get hurt just guard A LOT. If you don't get hit you will slowly heal. ACHIEVEMENT TIPS!!!!! The best place to fight for most of the achievements in a very large guard outpost near Acre. To fight it just leave Acre and then follow the path, it will split up in two directions. One goes straight and the other goes left (almost like a U-turn). Follow it left and you will be at the outpost. It has a very large amount of guards to get your achievements if your having trouble with them.
