-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Samurai Warriors 2: Empires Achievement Guide Written by Weapon360 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guide Notes: All achievements will not be acquired until you save the game. Save often so you can always make sure to get what you deserve. Also, difficulty levels do not affect achievements. If you feel like blazing through this game quickly, make sure you set yourself to Novice difficulty. 1. First Consultation - 50 points - Empire Mode Event: Lord confers with retainer upon taking 3 or more fiefs. This can be done with any Empire scenario. Save the game when you have a feif total of 3 to get the achievement. It's best to do this in the Battle of Kawanakajima scenario since it has the most feifs initially available. 2. Second Consultation - 50 points - Empire Mode Event: Lord confers with retainer upon taking 10 or more fiefs. This can be done with any Empire scenario. Save the game when you have a feif total of 10 to get the achievement. It's best to do this in the Battle of Kawanakajima scenario since it has the most feifs initially available. 3. Third Consultation - 50 points - Empire Mode Event: Lord confers with retainer upon taking 20 or more fiefs. This can be done with any Empire scenario. Save the game when you have a feif total of 20 to get the achievement. It's best to do this in the Battle of Kawanakajima scenario since it has the most feifs initially available. 4. Four Guardians - 50 points - Empire Mode Event: 4 retainers are proclaimed the most essential to your clan. One of 2 achievements that are hard to get. Here's a few methods from forum members. from The N0x: during the game when you have to choose to delegate, consult or decree just consult with the same 4 officers. if you keep consulting with them you will get he cut scene where your lord declares them the 4 guardians of the clan. this is how i've done it and its worked 3 times already once for the achivement and the others just because of gameplay. hope it works for you. from jcnet: I did one of the unification campaigns (the very last one in the list) I chose shimazu as my ruler beat the unification campaign then moved on to the battle of anegawa and defeated all rival factions except for terumune date in the top right hand corner of the map. Date had taken over some other lands and had 6 fiefs of his own, I cleared a path through them and I took over both the fiefs bordering his main fief, as soon as I did this I got the achievement. I had already skipped a lot of turns and such and the year was 1589 (winter) when I did it. from DROGTURIST: 1) Start the "Incident at Honnoji" scenario as the Date clan. 2) Take over any one surrounding fief, and get a fourth general aside from the Lord. I didn't bring the Lord into this equation AT ALL. Never consulted him, never delegated, nothing. 3) Write down the names of your four favorites (the ones you want to bring into every fight and be your guardians), if you don't remember the tricky japanese names. 4) Start taking over the country, fief after fief, but remember to always bring your generals. 5) I had my fourth general as a lieutenant in the fights, didn't seem to matter. 6) Stop at about the halfway point, when you own about 60% of the country and the entire eastern part of it. 7) Whip out the piece of paper with the name of your four picked generals on it. Move the "lieutenant general" to his own fief so he's a general and not an LT. (Don't know if this matters, but I did it.) 9) Start delegating to these four generals. 10) Other fiefs and clans will generally fight amongst themselves, you might need to defend sometimes. Send the four favorites from above to do so. In other words, keep them near the western front line. 11) Keep delegating for as long as it takes. Only took me like a year of in-game time. That's it, that's all I did. Some people say you should keep consulting them, etc, but I hardly consulted them at all as I wasn't aiming for the Four Guardians when I started the campaign. I just played and at the halfway point, I figured why not try the delegating thing some people have suggested, and it worked. The only thing I really did was bring my generals into every fight along the way. 5. Most Valuable Warrior - 50 points - Empire mode Event: A retainer is praised for his or her prowess in battle. Pick any of your warriors but make sure that it isn't the lord of your selected empire. When the game begins, hit Down on the D-Pad to keep your allies on defense. Head over to the main base but do not completely take down the smaller bases along the way. When you get to the main base you'll see a message on screen informing you that you cannot take over this base since it is completely cut off from your bases. This is good. Stay put and wipe out everyone you can. Since the base cannot be taken over, Base Captains and their troops will constantly appear. After getting 1000 kills finish the level. If a cutscene appears showing your warrior getting praised for battle, you got the achievement. 6. Moon Child - 50 points - Obtain the mount "Moon Child" in Empire Mode. Have a few successful trades with the West. You won't get this ability to do western trading unless you take over a feif in the western coast of the mainland. 7. Persain Mare - 50 points - Obtain the mount "Persain Mare" in Empire Mode. Have a few successful trades with China. You won't get this ability to do Chinese trading unless you take over a feif in the western coast of the mainland. 8. Matsukaze - 50 points - Obtain the mount "Matsukaze" in Empire Mode. One of 2 achievements that seems really random to get since there is no reliable timetable to it. The only consistent things are that constant use of Inspection and Benefaction help in getting this achievement. Using the ability to let 20% of your army retire is also essential to getting this one. Donating gold to the people also seems to help. Finally, make sure you already obtained both the Persian Mare and Moon Child and still have room for 1 or 2 horses (remember, max number of horses that can be had is 4). Once the people are satisfied enough they give you this horse. 9. Level Four Weapon - 50 points - Obtain a level 4 weapon in Empire Mode. During the strategy moments of any scenario, always choose to upgrade either the sword, spear, or special weapon smith levels. Once any of them have achieved level 4 status select a high level warrior that uses that weapon type. Before the battle begins check you equipment and make sure to equip yourself with the highest level weapon available. When the level begins, hit Down on the D-Pad to have all of your allies stay at their bases on defense. Get 500 kills before the level ends. Save the game and the achievement is yours. 10. Stage: Battle of Kawanakajima - 50 points - In Empire Mode, play the special stage "Battle of Kawanakajima". Start this scenario as either the Takeda or Uesugi clan. Play until a cut scene appears when these 2 clans will do battle. You will then be engaged in the special battle. Beat this battle and the achievement is yours. 11. Stage: Battle of Anegawa - 50 points - In Empire Mode, play the special stage "Battle of Anegawa". Complete a regional unification scenario to unlock this new scenario. Start this scenario as either the Azai, Oda or Tokugawa clan. Play until a cut scene appears. You will then be engaged in the special battle. Beat this battle and the achievement is yours. 12. Stage: Incident at Honnoji - 50 points - In Empire Mode, play the special stage "Incident at Honnoji". Complete the "Battle of Kawanakajima" scenario to open the "Incident at Honnoji" scenario. Start this new scenario as either the Akechi or Oda clan. Play until a cut scene appears. You will then be engaged in the special battle. Beat this battle and the achievement is yours. 13. Stage: Battle of Sekigahara - 50 points - In Empire Mode, play the special stage "Battle of Sekigahara". Complete the "Battle of Kawanakajima" scenario to open the "Incident at Honnoji" scenario. Complete the "incident at Honnoji" scenario to open the "Battle of Sekigahara" scenario. Start this new scenario as either the Toyotomi, Ishida or Tokugawa clan. Play until a cut scene appears. You will then be engaged in the special battle. Beat this battle and the achievement is yours. 14. Stage: Osaka Campaign - 50 points - In Empire Mode, play the special stage "Osaka Campaign". From Nastazgeezer: -Play as Toyotomi or Tokugawa -Be in the year 1615 -Toyotomi clan has 2 fiefs or less -Toyotomi clan has Yukimura (under the Toyotomi banner) -Toyotomi clan's officers all have 2000 or more troops -Tokugawa clan's officers all have 5000 or more troops Sanada Yukimura Issues I've also noticed people saying that they're having trouble participating in the Battle of Osaka, mainly due to the fact that Sanada Yukimura is to blame. Well, here's something that should help your troubles.. The easiest way to allow the Toyotomi to obtain Sanada Yukimura, is to do the following.. > Invade the fief where the Sanada clan are stationed and win the following battle against them. > You (should) capture Sanada Yukimura, if not.. use either the Search Local or Search Wide policy to recruit him. > Once you've obtained him into your ranks, send him alone to invade one of the Toyotomi fiefs and lose on purpose, thus resulting in Sanada Yukimura being captured by the Toyotomi. Other Issues (*) If you're finding that the Toyotomi are obtaining fiefs for themselves; save during the strategy phase with at least one policy order remaining, proceed to see who they attack, quit and reload your game, use your remaining policy and select decree to choose the policy "Short Alliance" with the clan that the Toyotomi had attacked before you reloaded your progress. from StripClubDJ: Start battle of Sekigahara (1600) Play on Novice Change setting to MAX officers Go to fief "Kai" and exchange Yukimura with okuni Go to fief "Settus" and Place Yukimura there Start the game by selecting the fief "Settus" which is controlled by Hideyouri Toyotomi, and also now has Yukimura as a General. That's it, Now i just put my defences to max, my troops to max and keeps hitting proceed until the year 1614, Then I check to make sure all my people have max troops. And when 1615 comes you should get a prompt to participate in the battle of Osaka. You can train your guys build up there weapons whatever you want to do just defend the 2 feifs "flawless i tried this like 10 times with a couple walkthroughs and this one worked first time. 15. Scenario: Battle of Anegawa - 100 points - Unlock the scenario "Battle of Anegawa". Beat any of the "Unification of..." scenarios. To get this quickly, try to do a 6 feif scenario. 16. Scenario: Incident at Honnoji - 100 points - Unlock the scenario "Incident at Honnoji". Beat the "Battle at Kawanakajima" scenario to open this up. 17. Scenario: Battle of Sekigahara - 100 points - Unlock the scenario "Battle of Sekigahara". Beat the "Battle at Kawanakajima" scenario to open the "Incident at Honnoji" scenario. Beat the "Incident at Honnoji" scenario to open this up. Author's Note: This guide isn't really written by me. In fact, I'm more apt to say that this guide is really a compilation of tips from all of the fine people at the forums of achieve360points. All of their hard work is responsible for all of these tips presented here. All I'm doing is putting these tips in one easy to find section so people who aren't too keen on digging through the forum posts can still benefit from the knowledge. Again, special shout out to the forum poeple here at achieve360points for providing all of the help on the game. There's just too many people to list out individually. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This Achievement Guide is property of www.achieve360points.com.
